A Message from the Rev. Mitchell Bojarski
Healing and Prayer
Our Associate for Youth and Young Adults, the Rev. Mitchell Bojarski, continues his recovery at home from a serious infection in his foot discovered in February. Mitchell is currently on short-term disability and we asked him to share with us how he is healing during this pandemic. His response below shows his humor is completely intact.
"To my great surprise I was compelled to give up a toe for Lent and have been recovering since the end of February. I thought, briefly, that I had planned this perfectly so that my convalescence would coincide with March Madness, NBA playoffs, and NHL playoffs but then the whole world shut down. It's been weird only being slightly more home bound than the rest of the world during this recovery time. I'm still totally non-weight-bearing on my left foot but I got a sweet scooter that I cruise around on. I'm only leaving the house for medical appointments, since all this puts me in several higher risk categories. Everything seems to be healing faster than the doctor expected so that's good. But as the last two years have shown me, the last tiny bit is the tricky part for me. Continued prayers are appreciated."
