BLINK Second Half Social
Saturday, October 19, 2024, 6:30 PM
BLINK! is back featuring its spectacular drone show, murals with art installations and light projection shows. Thanks to parishioners Mark Kroeger and Barb Stephens, who are again hosting us, we will be meeting downtown at the Scripps Center office (312 Walnut Street, 16th floor) with access to bathrooms and refreshments, and easy access to the art installations along the Riverfront. We’ll meet at 6:30 on the 16th floor for beautiful views, hopefully including the drone show, along with fellowship including drinks (water, soda, wine and beer) and light snacks graciously provided by our hosts and by our tour guides, parishioners Alan and Jo Henning. For those interested, Alan & Jo will lead a relaxed paced group out an hour tour of BLINK exhibits along the Riverfront and then head back to the Scripps Center for a break. For those still interested in more, tours will then walk north to Fountain Square and thru the Central Business District for additional installations. You can also go out at your own pace from our gathering to explore other exhibits as we won’t be able to cover the entire area since BLINK spans 30 city blocks through Covington, across the river, through downtown Cincinnati and up to Findlay Market.
CLICK HERE to register for the BLINK outing by Thursday, October 17 (and receive a confirmation email) so we can expedite the security process for access to the Scripps Center building. Carpooling is recommended since street parking will be tight. Pay parking is available in the 312 Walnut Building (access the garage from Third Street) and in buildings east and west of the Scripps Center, as well as other pay parking along the Riverfront. You should wear comfortable shoes for the evening and dress in layers for the weather. Contact Alan Henning at 513-236-4294 with any questions and please join us for this fun event!
