Diocesan Convocation 2019
Becoming Beloved Community Together
On Saturday, May 11, our diocese will come together in fellowship for a day-long celebration of our Becoming Beloved Community vision at Convocation 2019: Becoming Beloved Community Together. A convocation is just a large formal assembly of people, so that means everyone is welcome! Activities are planned for adults, youth and children, and free childcare will be available for the youngest members of the community.
The keynote speaker is the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, the Presiding Bishop's Canon for Evangelism, Reconciliation and Creation. She will call us to follow Jesus' Way of Love and to grow loving, life-giving and liberating relationships with God, each other and the earth.
The day also includes engaging workshops, interactive stations, opportunities for dialogue and age appropriate programming for children and youth.
We would love to see a strong showing from Church of the Redeemer as we begin our journey of growing a worshiping community of reconcilers, justice-makers, and healers!
The event is free by requires registration by April 26. Register now.
