Family Ministry Restructuring
Family Ministry Restructuring
at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer
Church of the Redeemer’s vision of a church that fully incorporates and empowers younger people in their life and ministry remains a commitment of our leadership. Over the past several months, we have worked to restructure this vital ministry. And today, we are pleased to announce that, as of July 1st, Brad Gough will become our Youth and Family Minister. Brad has been working with our families and children for four years, building relationships and strengthening formation. He is a collaborative leader, who is deeply devoted to Church of the Redeemer. He will be shifting his time and energy to facilitating our Young Adult and High School ministries, building off the important work the Rev. Mitchell Bojarski has done over the last two and a half years in this capacity.
As part of this new position, Brad will also be overseeing the newly restructured Family Ministry team. Many of Brad’s current responsibilities will shift, but we have no intention of compromising or diminishing our vision of a worshiping community that nurtures and empowers people of all ages. With that in mind, we have the joy of bringing Hannah Teetor to Redeemer as our new Director of Children’s Formation – also beginning July 1st. Hannah comes to us from Christ Church Cathedral here in Cincinnati, where she has served as their Director of Children and Family Ministry. She will be working closely with our children and families to make sure our younger parishioners are fully formed in their faith and empowered in the life of the church. We look forward to introducing her to all of you in the coming weeks.
Tommy Kirk continues to do spectacular work with our youngest Redeemerites, sharing the word of God through worship, music, and relationship. He will remain in his role of Children’s Formation Leader, and we are grateful for and continually blessed by his commitment to our children.
We are excited for the work Brad, Hannah, and Tommy will be doing together. We have a vision of a worshiping community that incorporates and transforms people at all ages, and we believe this new Family Ministry team will bring us more in line with that vision than we’ve ever been.
