Feast Day: Saint Luke the Evangelist
This Feast Day celebrates Luke, a Gentile, physician, and one of Paul's fellow missionaries in the early spread of Christianity through the Roman world. He has been identified as the writer of both the Gospel which bears his name, and its sequel, the Acts of the Apostles. He had apparently not known Jesus, but was clearly much inspired by hearing about him from those who had known him.
Join us on Friday, October 18 at 6:00 pm as we share a meal and a story. Anna Calhoun will share her story of inspiration. We will begin in the narthex and move into the nave together for a time of worship and communion, followed by story-sharing and a meal. Childcare is provided. A freewill offering will be taken to cover the cost of the meal.
