Festival of Faiths 2019
On Sunday, September 8, Cincinnati will hold it's second Festival of Faiths from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm at the Cintas Center on Xavier University's campus. Last year's festival brought together nearly 2,000 people of 24 faith communities representing 12 world religions under the theme of "Compassion through Action." The event celebrates interfaith understanding and collaboration for all ages. This year's festival will feature more than 90 faith-based exhibits, music, interfaith dialogues and workshops, spiritual meditations, art, delicious food, and more.
Church of the Redeemer will participate in this community faith event with a variety of offerings. Our Banquet and Celtic ensembles will provide music during the day, Carolyn Martin will offer Bead for Life jewelry, and the Rev. Melanie W. J. Slane will guide folks through the labyrinth in the meditation space. And behind the scenes, Minda Smith Matthews is event chair for logistics.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to bring along a non-perishable food item for the Freestore Foodbank. For more information on the festival visit cincifestivaloffaiths.org. We hope to see you there!
