Gathering on Sunday Mornings
The 2022-2023 Program Year begins September 11 at Church of the Redeemer! After several years of uncertainty, we are pleased about the many opportunities for involvement in our community. Please keep an eye on our Events page for a full list and be sure to register for those in which you have an interest.
Especially exciting is the full schedule for children and youth. During our 10:00 am education hour, we have gatherings for all ages. Our Family Ministry page has a full listing and registration button for each grade level.
While we are contemplating possible renovations to the Undercroft over the next year, our main church level will host all of our Sunday morning gatherings. This will certainly allow for all of us there on a Sunday morning to see each other!
Our youngest children (0-3) will have space in the Playroom during that time with our childcare providers. Children 3-6 will use the Crib Room (small room accessible from the Playroom) for Godly Play. Elementary school aged children (grades 1-4) will once again gather on the Cloister side of the Great Hall for Club CoR.
Middle CoR (fka BEATs) for grades 5-8 will meet in the Library. This group had been meeting in the Undercroft over the past few years but will move up to the Church Level for this year. The group will transition the space to meet their needs on Sundays and at other times. The books in the Library, of course, remain available for all. However, during this next program year, we ask that you take the time to schedule the space before using it for meetings. Most likely we can find you a space that will better fit your needs. Our Great Hall will provide a space for people to gather throughout the day for coffee, tea, etc. and fellowship with each other. This is a great time to greet newcomers, get to know someone new, or catch up with longtime friends. The space will remain arranged to encourage conversation groups, so please spend some time with us there each week.
CoR Youth (grades 9-12) will also gather in the Great Hall on Sunday mornings during the 10:00 am hour for a time of fellowship, service, and community building. Learn more about this gathering here.
The Parlor will serve as the space for Adult Education. We begin the program year with a 7-week course called Episcopal 101. This course is open to all, we do ask that you register for it so that we can be sure to have enough seating to accommodate the group. Learn more and register here.
