Godly Play Training

Do you have children that will be ages 3-6 for the school year?
Have you heard that we are restarting our Pre-K & K Children’s Formation class this Fall?
Are you interested in helping with children’s programming this Fall?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES!, then you are invited to join a Godly Play teacher and doorperson training session on August 28 from 12-3, with lunch. Let us know if you might need childcare provided.
The 3-6 year old class in Redeemer Family Ministry is called Godly Play, and no, Godly Play is not the church code words for toddler childcare! It is an actual preschool class with a topic each week. To make this class happen, we are actively looking for a few volunteers to round out our team, so even if you are curious and not quite ready to commit, please come to the training. We will share the class flow and classroom setup, as well as background on the program, and what the volunteer roles look like.
We will be training current and new Godly Play volunteers. The blessings that come from engaging with our youngest parishioners, building community relationships, and learning together our most blessed Bible stories are well worth the time spent. Our goal is to create a team of teachers and helper volunteers where each person serves about once a month during the school year.
