Inside the Episcopal Mind, A class for the curious
Sunday, September 17, 2023, 10:00 AM
A Guided Tour of the Episcopal Brain. Why we say, “If you want to know what we believe, come and worship with us.”
Our theology is an art form, not a law book.
We belong before we believe.
We do not give simple answers to complex questions.
(From the book 101 Reasons to be Episcopalian, compiled by Louie Crew)
What makes us Episcopalian? What are the traits that lie behind what we do in worship, mission, and community? Does the church sometimes surprise you? Inside the Episcopal Mind is an audio-visual excursion into the Episcopal heart, mind, and spirit. We will explore our distinctive identity and how it is derived from our history, our heritage, and our ecclesiology.
This class is for newcomers, seekers, old-timers, anyone who wants to refresh their Episcopal mind, and anyone curious about some of our beliefs and practices and where they come from. It also serves as preparation for confirmation, happening next spring. Come for an entertaining look at how and why we do church the way we do.
Join us for eight Sundays at 10:00am in the Parlor. September 17 through November 5.
