Liz Clemons Leaves Role of Assisting Music Minister
At the beginning of the 2019 program year, we enlisted parishioner Liz Clemons as Assisting Music Minister overseeing the Banquet music with the mutual agreement that we would periodically assess how things have gone and what direction we’d like to go next. Liz stepped into this work at what would become an incredibly difficult time, and she did wonderful work over the last two years, remaining flexible, thoughtful, creative, and always a joy to work with. As we took a look at the changes happening to our Sunday worship, and in particular to the Banquet in the coming year, and as we assessed our needs for the position of Banquet leader, we decided that Liz’s gifts, while considerable, did not encompass the breadth needed to fit with our vision for that space. Liz is an excellent teammate and an important member of our church family. And although she will no longer serve in this position, we are grateful for her contribution to the music program. We look forward to how she will continue to contribute to the life and spirit of the Church of the Redeemer.
