Ohio Primary Mail-In Voting Deadline
Ohio’s primary, originally scheduled for March 17, has been turned into a mail-only election. So, if you were not able to cast an early vote before the polls closed in March, you will want to fill out a ballot application and return it now. The US Postal Service estimates it will take 2-5 days to get your absentee ballot delivered by mail. So do not delay.
Ballot applications must be received by the Board of Elections by noon Saturday, April 25. You can download a ballot application using the button below or pick one up at a participating Kroger. The Hamilton County Board of Elections in Norwood is accepting ballot requests at the office’s drop box until noon on Saturday.
A few helpful hints to fill our the application:
- Specify which ballot (i.e. Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, or issues-only) you would like to receive and be sure to sign the request.
- Fill it out with the original date of the election, March 17.
- Drop it off at your county board of elections by noon on Saturday.
Once you receive your ballot, complete it and return using the postage paid enclosed envelope or deliver to your county board of elections. Ballots must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 28 or postmarked by Monday, April 27.
If you did vote early, before March 17, your ballot will be counted.
