PRIDE Month @ Church of the Redeemer
June is PRIDE month and Church of the Redeemer will celebrate this year in several ways.
Worship Music in June: Listen for LGBTQ+ artists' story-sharing through music and lyrics during the month of June. Check out This Sunday @ Redeemer for this week's offering.
Sundays at 9:00 am in June, the Rise & Shine discussion group will focus on LGBTQ+ issues.
Cincinnati PRIDE is Saturday, June 22 and includes a Parade through downtown as well as a Festival at Sawyer Point. The Diocese of Southern Ohio will participate in both the Parade and the Festival. Volunteers are still needed at the diocesan booth at the Festival. Sign-up now!
Parade Participants: The parade will start at the intersection of 7th Street and Central Avenue at 11 am on Saturday, June 22. Bring your church banner, wear your t-shirts and be a part of the parade! The Episcopal Church in Southern Ohio is entry #150 in the parade. Walkers should arrive at the staging area (7th Street overpass and Gest Street) by no later than 10:15 am.
Festival Volunteers: Join us from 12:00 to 9:00 pm at Booth #369 at Sawyer Point park for the Pride Festival! Volunteers are still needed for one-hour shifts in the booth from 6:00 to 7 pm, 7:00 to 8:00 pm and 8:00 to 9:00 pm, as well as for tearing down the booth at 9:00 pm. We will have some Redeemer Vision cards available at the booth to hand out and tell attendees about our parish.
Reading suggestions: Check out the display in the narthex of recommended books for children and adults. Pick up a Reading List and commit to reading one or more this month.
