Church of the Redeemer

Music

From our Celtic ensemble to our children’s choir, from the Banquet ensemble to special musical worship events, music is central to life at Church of the Redeemer! Our Music Ministry groups gather together on Thursday evenings during the program year (September – May) to share a meal and rehearse. Read about our many musical opportunities using the tabs on the sidebar, and for more information about Church of the Redeemer Music Ministry family, contact the Rev. Casey Jones, Associate for Worship.

Every Voice Academy

At Church of the Redeemer, music is one of the ways we are united in relationships of holy connection and communion across generations.

Every Voice Academy at Church of the Redeemer is pleased to offer free musical enrichment and training for children and youth ages 2 to 18 with a commitment to fostering a sense of community, self-expression, and artistic growth.

Every Voice Academy is open to both parishioners of Church of the Redeemer and members of the greater Cincinnati community. A communal meal is also available each week at 6 p.m. for participating families. Currently, Every Voice Academy offers four age-appropriate levels of music instruction/participation: Musical Play for Children and Families,  Laetare, Jubilate Deo, and Cantate Domino.

Musical Play for Children and Families

Musical Play is a free-flowing exploration of musical concepts for early childhood learners (ages 2-5) and parents led through singing and movement. Parents must stay with their children the entire session.

Laetare

Laetare is a choral ensemble for early elementary aged singers in grades K-2 that incorporates elements of musical play while introducing ensemble skills through games and activities and beginning to introduce and explore service music. Laetare singers will sing in worship at least twice throughout the program year.

Jubilate Deo

Jubilate Deo is a choral ensemble for older elementary aged singers in grades 3-5 to explore a variety of music and practice ensemble skills through games and activities. Jubilate Deo singers will sing in worship at least twice throughout the program year.

Cantate Domino

Cantate Domino is a choral ensemble for middle/junior high and high school aged singers in 6th-12th grade to develop their vocal talents, musical knowledge, and appreciation of choral music. Cantate Domino singers may be invited to perform regularly during morning services throughout the program year as part of the Church of the Redeemer Choir, and will sing in worship at least twice as an ensemble.
