This Sunday, June 28, we are delighted to welcome The Rev. Canon Aaron Rogers as our guest preacher at Church of the Redeemer.
Canon Rogers serves as Canon for Ministry in the Diocese, a role he has held since April 2026. Previously serving as Missioner for Black Ministries, he continues to support Black ministries throughout the diocese while also overseeing the Ministry Team and key ministries including lay licensing and diaconal formation.
A graduate of Eden Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2012) and Virginia Theological Seminary (Diploma of Anglican Studies, 2022), Aaron has served in a variety of ministry settings, including as Ministry Developer for Young Adults in the Diocese of Missouri and Priest-in-Charge of St. Stephen’s and the Vine Episcopal Church in Ferguson, Missouri. His ministry experience also includes service at Trinity Church in St. Louis, Faith for Justice, The Vandersall Collective, and The Riverside Church in New York City.
Aaron is passionate about building strong teams, solving challenges creatively, and inspiring others to join in God’s work. Raised in a historically Black denomination, he is a strong advocate for the gifts and witness of historically Black congregations and their vital role in the life of the Church.
Please join us in extending a warm Church of the Redeemer welcome to Canon Rogers this Sunday!
