Altar Guild members assist the clergy in the preparation of all worship spaces for the Holy Eucharist.They care for the vessels, linens and all other sacred items used in worship.Through working in community with one another, caring for sacred items and working in holy spaces, Altar Guild members feel a closeness to God.
Altar Guild members work in teams. Each team meets once a month on Saturday morning at 9 am to prepare the church for Sunday worship. Each team member is then responsible for one worship service that week. It is a small time commitment for a very important and rewarding ministry.No special skills are required and on the job training is provided.
