Join us on Friday, April 11 at 6:30 pm, the movie will start at 7:00 pm.
Parishioners are inviting us to their home theater that can accommodate 30 people, so please CLICK to RSVP to easily register (and receive a confirmation email) since we’ll cap this event at 30 people. The event location remains the same as previous Second Half Movie Nights and will be emailed to registered people by the day before. Our host will provide popcorn and participants should bring their own drinks. The movie, which we’ll discuss afterwards, will be “Joy”.
Spanning from 1968 to 1978, the film “Joy” follows three British trailblazers who face opposition from the church, state, media, and medical establishment in their pursuit of the world’s first “test tube baby”, Louise Joy Brown. A young nurse, a visionary scientist and an innovative surgeon are played by Thomasin McKenzie, James Norton & Bill Nighy respectively.
Three Pioneers. One Vision. The Birth of IVF.
