Feel free to bring finger food to share and your own drinks at 6:30 pm in the Great Hall. This intriguing program will start between 7:00-7:15 pm.

The life of a diplomat might seem glamorous – international travel, fancy receptions – but the reality can be quite different for the individual and for their family. Todd Schwartz spent 28 years as a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, including assignments in (West) Germany, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Qatar, the Philippines, Kuwait, Canada and Iraq, as well as several postings in Washington DC. He was accompanied and supported by his spouse Nancy throughout that career as they raised four children across four continents. Nancy and Todd will share the side of diplomacy you don’t often hear about – what it’s like to raise a family while representing the United States.
