Church of the Redeemer has the honor of hosting Dr. Ellen Davis, Professor of Bible and Practical Theology at Duke Divinity School, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 6:30pm.
Dr. Davis will be presenting, “High Places, Deep Places, Spaces of Transgression and Insight: The Psalmists on Pilgrimage.” Underlying much of the Bible, and especially the book of Psalms, is the regular experience of pilgrimage and the spiritual insights it generated. We will look together at how the psalmists’ sensitivity to sacred space may deepen our own understanding of how God is present and active with us in the world.
