Second Half Movie Night

Arrive any time after 6:30PM and the movie will start at 7:00PM.

Parishioners are inviting us to their home theater that can accommodate 30 people, so please RSVP to easily register (and receive a confirmation email) since we’ll cap this event at 30 people. The event location remains the same as previous Second Half Movie Nights and will be emailed to registered people beforehand. Our host will provide popcorn and participants should bring their own drinks.

The movie, which we’ll discuss afterwards, will be Rental Family starring Brendon Fraser (Best Actor Oscar winner for The Whale).

An American actor (Fraser) in modern-day Tokyo struggling to find purpose lands an unusual gig: working for a Japanese “rental family” agency, playing stand-in roles for strangers. Confronting the moral complexities of his work, he rediscovers purpose, belonging, and the quiet beauty of human connection.
