Saturday September 19 – Guided Tour of the ‘next generation’ Downtown Main Library. Meet in the main lobby of the downtown public library (at the 800 Vine Street entrance) by 10:45AM for a free 60-90 minute tour starting at 11:00 a.m.
We’ll be introduced to the recent reorganization of the diverse offerings of this amazing resource which consists of two buildings occupying nearly two city blocks.
The library not only provides extensive collections of books and audio/video offerings, but also an amazing collection of specialized equipment and services in the MakerSpace, along with vast resources in the Genealogy and Local History sections.
An optional lunch will follow at Taqueria Mercado Mexican restaurant across Walnut Street from the library.
Cynthia Walker will serve as host for this event, so if you have particular areas of interest or questions, or are interested in going to lunch, please contact her.
